South West firm Cooper Associates Wealth Management has acquired a Barnstaple-based business.

Founded in 2014, Pengilly Cox is a financial associate firm with 50 years of combined experience.

Set to become part of Cooper Associates Wealth Management, both firms are appointed representatives of wealth management firm St James’ Place.

Samantha Jackson, chief executive of Cooper Associates Group, said: “There was an instant synergy between ourselves and Pengilly Cox. Founders Beverley Pengilly and Stephen Cox reject the one-size-fits-all approach to financial advice, in keeping with how we operate.

“Everything they do is client-centric which complements us perfectly.”

Cooper Associates Group operates throughout the South West, making Pengilly Cox an “ideal acquisition” geographically. Two current employees – Vanessa Coe and Helena Standen – will join Beverley Pengilly and Stephen Cox at Cooper Associates Wealth Management.
